Giuliano Berretta is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Eutelsat Communications, Europe's largest satellite operator and one of the world's leading
satellite operators. He joined the Eutelsat international organisation in 1990 as its first Commercial Director, and was Director General from 1999 to July 2001 in order to steer the transformation of the assets and activities of the organisation into a private company.
During his career at Eutelsat Mr Berretta has brought a new commercial edge to the company's business. He has driven a policy of international expansion beyond Europe into the Americas, Africa and Asia, positioned Eutelsat as a world-leading capacity provider for satellite television broadcasting, and a preferred satellite operator for professional data networks, broadband and mobile services. Eutelsat Communications generated income of €750 million for its 2004/2005 financial year. In September 2005 it was recognised for the second consecutive year by Euroconsult, as the Best Managed Satellite Operator for Growth and Profitability.
Prior to joining Eutelsat Mr Berretta worked at the European Space Agency's (ESA) headquarters in Paris and its technical centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands where he was instrumental in the design of Europe's pioneering communications satellite programmes. Before ESA, Mr. Berretta spent seven years with Italian industry in the field of military and civilian radio links and television broadcasting.
Mr Berretta holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua (Italy) an Honorary Doctorate in Management Engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy) and an honorary Professorship from the University Ricardo Palma of Lima (Peru). Mr Berretta is a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur of the French Republic and in 2006 he was nominated Cavaliere del Lavoro by the Italian Republic.

Deputy CEO
Jean-Paul Brillaud (56) joined Eutelsat in 1999 as Director of Corporate Development and External Relations. In July 2001 he was appointed member of the Management Board, and Deputy CEO in 2004.
During his career at Eutelsat, Jean-Paul Brillaud managed the transformation of Eutelsat from an international organisation into a private company . He also drives its strategic development and piloted the IPO process.
He joined Eutelsat from France Telecom where he was Deputy Director of satellite communications in charge of investments in the space segment and operation of earth station sites. He began his professional career at the CNET (Centre National d'Etudes des Télécommunications).

Catherine Guillouard
Finance Director
Catherine Guillouard (42) joined Eutelsat in September 2007 as Finance Director.
Catherine Guillouard graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Sciences and the French National School of Administration (Ecole Nationale d'Administration), 1991-1993 Gambetta promotion, and holds a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in European Union Law. She began her career in 1993 at the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, where she was Deputy Director of the CFA Zone in Africa and then the Banking Affairs Department. Catherine Guillouard joined Air France in 1997 as Senior Project Manager for the Employee Share Offering at the time of the Air France IPO in 1999. She was subsequently appointed Deputy Vice President Corporate Control in 1999, Vice President Flight Operations in 2001, Vice President Human Resources and Change Management in 2003. In January 2005 she was nominated Senior Vice President Finance at Air France.

Philippe Mc Allister
General Counsel and
Secretary of the Board of Directors
Philippe Mc Allister (47) joined Eutelsat Communications as General
Counsel on 1 August 2005 and is also one of the four members of the
Executive Committee.
He began his career in 1986 as a lawyer at Schlumberger’s London offices.
He joined the European technology sector in 1989 at Thomson Multimedia,
where he held the post of General Counsel Europe. In 1997, he was appointed
International General Counsel of the France Telecom Group in order to
provide legal support for its international expansion. From 2001 he
was Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary at Orange S.A. in London,
managing the activities of 150 legal entities within the Group.
Philippe Mc Allister has dual French and British citizenship, is a
solicitor and holds an honours degree from the University of Glasgow
where he majored in EU law.
