DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control) technology
 was developed by Eutelsat and Philips in the early 90’s:

> Data transmission technology between a satellite receiver
and a switch (multi-switch) or a satellite dish

> Replaces former complicated switching methods, enabling
satellite signals to be easily received between different orbital
positions and satellite polarization levels (vertical and horizontal)

> Licence-free open industrial standard that has become the base for multi-feed reception of digital satellite TV and radio programmes
